troubleshooting diagnostic will step you through a series
of questions to help you troubleshoot any problems you may
be experiencing getting the eBeam hardware and software
functional.
Begin
troubleshooting eBeam
This
diagnostic sequence assumes that your eBeam hardware
appears functional is connected properly. If you are
uncertain if your hardware is connected properly,
please go to the Initial
Diagnostic section now.
Software
This
diagnostic sequence also assumes the eBeam
application software installed successfully.
ThinkPad or Palm handheld
If
you are having problems with eBeam on an IBM
ThinkPad or on a system that also has a Palm
handheld,
please select these respective hyperlinks.
USB users

configuration instructions before beginning this
diagnostic.
Firmware
Because the eBeam system is equipped with
a digital signal processor, it can be upgraded by
downloading
new firmware. Be sure that you check your firmware
version as shown in the image below and upgrade as necessary by downloading
upgrades.
