Meet Sue. She teaches at Juana Briones school
in Palo Alto, CA. Sue has a student that requires
a bit more attention then most other students in
the classroom. Eilam always does his best in class
but he sometimes has trouble copying the information
from the whiteboard to the sheet of paper on his
desk. Most of the time, he required a teacher's assistant
to help him copy the notes and to help him keep his
attention focused
on the lesson.
Having a full-time teacher's assistant
was not only costly but it was also a break in
communication between the Sue and Eilam.
Fortunately, the solution was simple. Sue uses the eBeam
Whiteboard System with Bluetooth to capture
the notes she draws on the class board. The information
is sent directly to a computer that sits on Eilam's desk.
Every important piece of information is captured for him
eliminating the need for a teacher's assistant. He can interact
directly with the information Sue writes on the whiteboard
and can show his parents later at home so they can stay
updated on his progress in class.
Eilam has made leaps and bounds in his scholastic
efforts and feels more like the other kids because
he doesn't require as much
special attention.
His parents are very pleased with his progress and
have reported that he is learning faster and easier
than they had hoped.
