SAN CARLOS, CA – March 28, 2007 – Luidia, Inc., a leading global provider of idea capturing technology, announced today that its award-winning eBeam® technology has been selected by Legamaster, the visual communication division of edding AG, for its latest and most innovative interactive whiteboard products, including the first height-adjustable interactive whiteboard and the world’s largest interactive whiteboard.
Now in its third generation of eBeam-enabled products, Legamaster selected Luidia’s newest technology platform for its latest series of interactive products. "This 'mini eBeam system' contains only one receiver," explained Roel Semmelink, Division Director, Legamaster. "The other electronics are built inside the board. This results in a very clean design. With this new development, we are able to further improve our boards with even more diversity."
Introduced to enthusiastic acclaim recently in Europe, LegaMaster’s new 'e-Board school series' uses eBeam technology to provide interactivity in combination with 3M’s DMS800 super close projector. Teachers can adjust the height of the board quickly and easily to make the system more accessible to smaller students while allowing adults to maintain good ergonomic position while using the board.
In January, the two companies demonstrated the world’s largest interactive whiteboard, with an active area of 10'x5' at the BETT show, the world’s largest educational technology event.
"Legamaster is making the most of the inherent flexibility of our eBeam technology to meet the needs of a broad spectrum of users," said Rafi Holtzman, CEO, Luidia. "Products like the Legamaster e-Board School series are ideally suited for primary and secondary schools while Legamaster's high quality surfaces for very large size boards combined with the robustness of the eBeam technology facilitate 'lecture hall' size systems for corporate and higher education users."
