London, England – January 11, 2007 – Luidia,
Inc., a leading global provider of idea capturing technology
and manufacturer of eBeam® interactive systems, announced
today an agreement to provide Emko Emaye Writing Boards
and Education Equipment Company with its eBeam technology.
Emko Emaye, a leading manufacturer of school furniture
and equipment for Turkey’s education market, will
use the eBeam technology to add interactive capabilities
to its line of ceramic steel whiteboards.
Designed to meet the needs of the education market, the
EmkoTech Interactive Board features a magnetic, non-staining
surface that is easy to clean. The non-reflective surface
may also be used as a projection screen. Teachers and school
administrators can control the computer, run PowerPoint
presentations, and annotate slides or documents by using
the eBeam Interactive stylus directly on the projected
image.
“We are seeing tremendous demand for interactive
technology in Turkey’s education and business markets,” said
Recep Tanisman, President of Emko Emaye. “The flexibility
and accuracy of Luidia’s eBeam technology has given
Emko Emaye the power to produce durable, high-quality tools
that the Turkish market needs to produce tomorrow’s
high tech workforce.”
“We welcome Emko Emaye to our growing family of
OEMs and partners,” said Rafi Holtzman, CEO of Luidia. “The
eBeam technology is enabling our partners across the globe
to become major players in the rapidly growing market for
interactive education, and this cooperation will bring
major benefits to students, teachers, and administrators
in Turkey’s education market. Emko’s experience
of serving the Turkish market for over 40 years, combined
with the eBeam technology, is a great base for future,
innovative products.”
About eBeam Technology
The eBeam hardware works with a projector to turn any
flat surface into a giant virtual touchscreen. The eBeam
stylus acts as a mouse, while the eBeam software captures
your notes and drawings and lets you share them with anyone
over the Net in real time. Teachers and presenters can
control any mouse or keyboard function from the front of
the room while actively engaging the audience. A PowerPoint
specific tool palette gives users the flexibility of annotating
slide shows on the fly and saving the mark-ups back to
the original file. The software enables presenters, consultants
and educators to collaborate via the Internet, making remote
meetings and teamwork not only possible, but much more
efficient, productive, and cost-effective.
