Luidia selects EverNote Corp. software for eBeam Interactive System

Sunnyvale , CA March 2, 2005 – EverNote™ Corporation and Luidia today announced a worldwide OEM licensing agreement. Luidia has selected EverNote Corp.’s ritePen® advanced handwriting recognition software to bundle with its eBeam Interactive TM, the first portable interactive display solution designed to work specifically with digital projectors. The deal marks ritePen’s debut into the interactive whiteboard category.

Targeted to the education and general business markets, the combined ritePen and eBeam® package gives users a complete note management solution for presenting and taking notes in classrooms and conference rooms.

Luidia’s eBeam system essentially turns any flat surface into a giant, interactive touch screen. It works with a digital projector and PC, allowing users to control their computer from the front of the classroom or meeting room. The tool palettes allow users to navigate a PC, share presentations and annotate anything on the screen.

With ritePen, users can intelligently navigate the desktop and write on the full screen in smooth electronic ink – and their handwriting is automatically converted into text and entered into target applications. Built on an advanced handwriting recognition engine, ritePen recognizes unrestricted and continuous writing.

“Powerful handwriting recognition and flexible note-taking systems are essential components for our eBeam Interactive users,” said Rafi Holtzman, CEO of Luidia. “Combined with EverNote Corp.’s deep expertise in pen computing, we’re offering our customers the most innovative interactive display solution on the market.”

Consisting of a small receiver and electronic stylus, Luidia’s eBeam Interactive is small enough to be carried in a laptop case and is installable in minutes. The eBeam receiver is equipped with Bluetooth and can wirelessly transfer on-screen actions to a PC. Users simply need to attach the receiver to any flat surface, aim a projector and begin writing.

ritePen includes natural editing gestures, provides a list of alternative answers, as well as allows the addition of custom user vocabulary to further improve recognition accuracy of special terms and abbreviations.

“We are excited to be expanding our ritePen user base to the interactive display market with Luidia, known for their innovative interactive systems,” said Leonid Kitainik, executive vice president for EverNote. “The ability to instantly turn any office, conference room or lecture hall into an idea capturing space will be beneficial to the millions of people in their brainstorming and presentation activities.”

Availability
eBeam Interactive retails at less than $1,000.00 USD, and is available nationwide from selected AV resellers or through the Luidia Online Store. A complete list of dealers and resellers is available at www.luidia.com.
